Logging Into Online Banking or Mobile App
Will I have to change my username and password?
No and yes, you will keep your current username but will be required to set up a new password upon first log in to the new system. You will enter your username and password, then, it will send you a security code to all phone numbers and email addresses connected to the primary member on the account to enter into the new online banking and mobile app. It will then prompt you to set a new password. See Password Requirements below. After changing your password, it will prompt you to log in with your new credentials and will send you another security code. If you are on a secure personal device, you can remember your device so the security code isn’t required each time. If you are on an unlocked (no password on your phone or computer) or on a shared device, it is not recommended to save the device.
What are the username requirements?
- Must be between 8 to 15 characters.
- Cannot start with a number.
- May not contain any special characters.
- Valid characters are letters and numbers.
What are the password requirements?
- Must be between 12 to 20 characters.
- Must contain at least 1 number and at least 1 special character.
- Must contain at least 1 uppercase and 1 lowercase letter.
- Cannot repeat a character more than 4 times.
- Cannot contain personal data (Soc#, Date of Birth, or Address).
Will there be added security? Will I need my security questions?
Yes, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be used to send a one-time passcode to the primary person’s email and phone number on file. Each person can have their own login using their account number and social security number. Security questions will be going away and not used in the new system because many security questions may be guessed or found even when answers are “private”, people often reuse the same answers across platforms making them easier targets. If you do not have access to your phone number or email, contact the credit union to update your contact information.
General
Will alerts stay the same?
No, alerts will need to be re-established because we now have better options such as: Push notifications (through the mobile app), phone number or email address.
Will I still be able to deposit checks in the app?
Yes, Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) is available on the new system but will look a little different.
Payments and Transfers:
Will I have to re-set up my automatic payments?
No, existing automatic payments and transfers are not affected by the upgrade. Scheduled bill pay payments should go as scheduled but as always, please verify.
Will I have to re-enter my bill payments and payees into the new online banking?
November bill payments will process as planned as long as you have logged into online banking and clicked on bill pay. We assure you that during this transition, the following items will not be impacted:
- Any scheduled Bill Payments that you have established before October 30, 2026.
- Any Bill Payment Payees that you already have established
Although these items will be maintained and converted for you, so that they do not need to be reestablished, we highly suggest that you print a copy of your scheduled bill payments, and payees, along with your scheduled transfers prior to October 30, 2026. After the conversion takes place, please verify that all of these items converted appropriately. You should sign into the new online banking confirm any scheduled payments.
Transfers to accounts at other financials will need to be re-established outside of the bill pay in the regular online banking.
Where can I see my aggregate account balances?
The new app will offer a feature where you can connect accounts at other financials and get a total of funds across all accounts. The aggregated account balance is available under the “Info” box in the Accounts area.
What are the new account link features?
There are two account link areas: Account and Transfer. They both must be set up individually. You can add an external account (such as a retirement account or other financial) through the secure Plaid network.
- The External Link on the Accounts Page allows you to see balances and recent transactions of the other financial on your Gulf Coast FCU online banking.
- The External Link for the Transfers Page allows you to transfer funds to and from another financial, even scheduling payments for your loan. Note, these take 1-2 business days to send.
